We have here a few nice sets of fine walnut grips for the Star “Model PD Compact” pistol models ONLY. These do not fit the Super B, BM, BKM, S or any other Star models (see our other listings for those). The model of the Star pistols is usually found on the heel of the gun’s grip frame, stamped on the mainspring housing bottom. The grip screw holes are approximately 2-15/16″ apart, measured center-to-center; if your gun’s grip screw holes do not match this dimension these grips will NOT fit your gun, and you may have a different model. This version is fully checkered similar to some of our other Star grips, with the Star name and logo in a stylized center location on each grip panel, with a border around it. We’ve found these are much nicer to hold than the original plastic grips on the Star pistols, and help accuracy as the shooter can more easily maintain a secure hold on the gun. These grips are not stained or varnished, so what you see is the natural walnut wood. The grips can and should be periodically oiled with a fine linseed or tung oil but are uncoated to allow the natural wood’s grain and color to be visible while protecting and preserving the wood. Those shown are examples of what we have and you will receive a set of equal quality and similar color and grain characteristics. Like all natural wood, the exact shade and grain characteristics may be different than those in the photos. Some may be darker or lighter; every set will have grain patterns differing from the next set. These are made on CNC equipment, so the fit is precise, and when installed will highly enhance the appearance of your firearm. The grips do not include any grip screws. These are ONLY for the model(s)/series specified above, and are not sold or intended to fit any other Star model. It is up to you to be sure these are appropriate for your gun. You are purchasing ONE pair of grips for the price shown in this listing. We have a number of these sets, and the grips shown in the photos are representative of what you will receive.
