NOTE: This is the Non-Velocore Version OEM shaft, that is brand new uncut at 46 inches long, without the sleeve which adds another 1/2 & it will increase your swing speed & distance over a 44-45 inch driver & play 48 inches, or I will trim it to the buyers specs upon purchase, as for this OEM shaft compared to the Velocore version, I haven’t found any difference in measurements at the butt, mid & tip sections vs the Velocore version compared to these except the cost as new uncut Velocore shafts sell for 350.00 without the grip or sleeve installation & this doesn’t mean that there could be one version that is slightly stiffer in one section than the other, unfortunately as many shafts that I have measured finding two the same is not going to happen as they are all different so without having the means to be able to measure shafts in sections, you are not going to know where in the flex range each shaft is & how that relates to help or not help your swing. This is why I measure each shaft at the butt, butt 2, mid & tip to get the shafts true profile & use those numbers to help you get the best fit for your swing. This also helps you the buyer understand the difference between the standard Ventus Blue 5R & the Ventus Blue 5R TR, before your purchase. Sometimes a standard Ventus Blue may fit your swing better than a Ventus Blue TR & I have several of each & also the Ventus Blue 5R in standard but with the red/black paint scheme in both standard & TR versions & now the New 2024 Ventus Blue 5R TR blue/black version that this listing is for. This shaft is a New uncut, 46 inch long shaft, that hasn’t been played, the new TR blue/black painted color version, it is a Ventus Blue TR 5R Regular & I have only a few of these in stock & with all shafts, they are all slightly different from each other, these new Ventus Blue TR’s have a similar tip section as the other Ventus Blues but they are stiffer in the mid sections ideally, but not always as I’m finding out & the butt sections are similar to the other Ventus Blue 5R shafts, but again that all depends on each individual shaft & is why I measure each shaft individually at the butt, butt 2, mid & tip section, this gives the buyer the shafts true profile & that is the one I ship to the buyer, since I have multiple shafts of each one listed I give the buyer the choice of which one they want with their purchase, I will list the shaft numbers down below when I get a chance of all the Ventus Blue 5R’s & Ventus Blue 5R’s, Red/Black & the Ventus Blue TR 5R-Red/Black & Ventus Blue TR 5R Blue/Black shafts that I have in stock at the butt, butt 2, mid & tip, & the buyer should pick the shaft that has the best numbers for their swing regardless of the shafts paint scheme. The butt 2 reading is what the measurement would be if the 46 inch shaft has 2 inches removed to make it play 46 inches long instead of 48 inches, the shaft would be 44.5-44.75 depending on driver type & you will notice that when it is trimmed at the butt, it increases the reading making it play stiffer & load less at impact. Up for sale on Buy-It-Now for 185.00, is a new, uncut 46.5 inch long, Fujikura Ventus Blue TR 5R Blue/Black 55 gram Regular Flex shaft, with any of the Callaway driver or fairway wood sleeves installed, this is the one of the most popular shafts in the golf world today & the Blue is probably the most popular of the Ventus line & it comes in 4 color schemes now, the Ventus Blue 5R, blue color, the Red/Black Ventus Blue 5R & the Red/Black Ventus Blue TR 5R & now the Blue upper, Black lower, Ventus Blue TR 5R & this listing is for the TR Ventus Blue 5R, Blue/Black version, these TR’s usually have a stiffer mid section and sometimes but not always a stiffer butt section too, so they may or may not load as much as the standard Ventus Blue 5R’s which have a softer butt & softer mid sections, but the stiffer tip & mid sections will reduce spin to help roll out after the ball lands, they all are a great feeling, premium shaft which have a low torque rating of 3.0 which will not allow the shaft to open up no matter how hard you can swing, resulting in higher loft & more spin, this shaft is in New, unused condition, uncut at 46 inches long & the sleeve will add another 1/2 inch & for a Driver or Fairway wood shaft in stiff flex & will be installed with any of the Callaway Driver or Fairway Wood sleeves installed, such as Paradym series, Great Big Bertha, Epic Flash, Epic Subzero, Epic, Epic Star, B.B. V-series, Alpha, Jailbreak, Rogue, Mavrik, XR, X-2-Hot, Optiforce, Fusion, Alpha 815/816, Black Double Diamond, B.B. Alpha, Bertha Mini Driver & any that I may have missed or coming out or even the older Single Cog sleeves installed, such as the Razr, Razr Fit, Razr Fit Extreme, X-Hot or X-Hot Pro, sleeve installed. The shaft will come with a new grip of your choice of which I have many from Golf Pride, Winn, Lamkin, Iomic and many others in all sizes. I will build the shaft to your specs, for length, sleeve setup and ship it out as soon as possible, once it has been purchased, this is the shaft that is most used by many Tour Players today in their Driver or Fairway Woods, a very well preforming shaft for players that want a mid kick with a stiff tip for a low/mid ball flight with low spin that will allow the ball to roll out after it lands, this shaft as mentioned has a pretty stiff tip section & stiffer mid section to even keep the spin down more over the softer tipped earlier, but also remember that the butt is stiffer also, so the shaft won’t load as much as the earlier Ventus Blue’s that aren’t the TR versions. The different stiffness’s of the shaft can help or hinder the players swing, when the butt is stiffer, it doesn’t load as much, so therefore doesn’t unload also, but if the players tempo & transition are quicker then the stiffer butt helps their tempo, so swing speed, launch conditions, shoulder plane & driver loft as well, so the TR Ventus Blue shaft will suit some players better than others, it all depends on the shafts numbers, the players swing speed, tempo, launch conditions, club loft, shoulder plane & other factors. These New TR’s may have a stiffer butt section or mid section, it all depends on each individual shaft & how the players swing characteristics can lower the launch & spin too. Also keep in mind that the shafts profile can help you with your accuracy, striking the ball at impact in the sweet spot and distance when it matches your swing parameters, such as tempo, shoulder plane, launch conditions, swing speed & other factors, it has a low torque value at 3.0 degrees, so it will not open up at impact, even with faster higher swing speed swings. Note that all these shafts all have different numbers, this is the way it is with all shafts, not just these, they all vary in the flex rating, I have some others also coming in & some of them will be even softer than these 6 shafts, but you also need to realize that normally if the shaft has a stiffer tip & mid section then generally it will have a stiffer butt section also, although once in awhile I will get one that has a stiffer mid & tip like some of the shafts above & have a softer butt like some of these others up above too, but it doesn’t happen very often, these shafts are designed to be mid kicks & mid launch, not high kicks with low launch, low spin, but if that is what your looking for I may have others that are soft in the butt & stiffer in the tip & mid section, which are high kicks (which means softer butt section) & stiffer tip, we also need to realize that even though some of the butt readings don’t seem that far away from the others these readings are just below the grip, so a small difference can make a bid difference in how the shaft loads & unloads.
