The main reason why my eBay items arrive in a timely manner no matter where you are in the United States is because USPS Honolulu ships out their daily USPS First Class/Priority Mail items every business night on commercial planes(not barges) to the mainland. As long as I get my eBay orders to USPS by closing time(M-F), it will be on a plane that same night headed for the Continental United States. I ship to New York and Florida routinely and have consistently received the highest possible 5-star shipping speed rating because of our USPS overnight mainland delivery system. Like I stated above, feel free to check my customer ratings and my fast shipping comments from actual paying customers from all over the country. Bottom line, I don’t ship hundreds of items a week, just a few; so you know your item always gets the attention it deserves.There may be extended delivery times during the holiday season(Oct, Nov, Dec) due to the unusually high volume of Christmas packages being processed at USPS. Logistical issues, pandemics, severe weather conditions or nationwide staff shortages added to the sheer volume of packages will definitely increase delivery times during these holiday months. If USPS avoids these unforeseen circumstances than your holiday order should be delivered in a timely fashion. Need The Item Quicker? Choose The Priority Shipping Option At Checkout: For most of my USPS First Class listings I have a Expedited Shipping option(Priority Mail) at an additional cost at checkout. Priority Mail, based off of the thousands of items I’ve shipped from Hawaii; on average gets to you 1 to 2 business days quicker than First Class Mail barring any logistical issues with the post office. To see what the additional cost will be for USPS Priority Mail, look for Shipping on the eBay listing on your computer and click “See details” to the right of it. If you are using the eBay app, click on “Est. Shipping” under Shipping and a drop down list of shipping pricing options should appear. You may either see 2 shipping prices or a mix of Free Shipping and Expedited Shipping(USPS Priority Mail). Why? Some of my listings have free standard shipping(USPS First Class) and others I charge for it. If there is a shipping price for Standard Shipping(USPS First Class) as well as Expedited Shipping(USPS Priority Mail) and you upgrade to USPS Priority Mail, you will only be charged for the USPS Priority Mail option and not both. If you do not upgrade to Priority Mail at checkout, then the standard shipping cost(USPS First Class) will be the only shipping cost added to the total price. If the listing offers free shipping then no standard shipping cost will be added. Please feel free to message me if you don’t see a USPS Priority Mail option, might want to upgrade to USPS’s fastest 2 business day guaranteed Express Mail or you are having trouble trying to upgrade to the Priority Mail shipping method at checkout. When should you Upgrade to Priority Mail? You should upgrade to Priority Mail if you want the item you are ordering to have the “best chance” at being delivered from Hawaii within 3 to 4 business days because of a last minute time sensitive gift giving event(birthdays, graduations, etc.) or a non-negotiable time deadline activity(vacation air travel,business trip, etc.). From my years of Hawaii shipping experience, the 3 to 4 business day delivery starts the next business day after I drop it off at the post office. For example, I drop off the package at the USPS post office on Monday with a estimated 3 to 4 business day delivery time. 4 business days(BD) from Monday would be Tuesday(1BD), Wednesday(2BD), Thursday(3BD) and Friday(4BD). So your package should arrive on the 4th business day which would be Friday in this example. If there are no shipping issues and it only takes 3 business days from Monday then it would arrive on Thursday. Longer delivery times can happen(see below), but 3 to 4 business day delivery is the average time it takes for Priority Mail to arrive from Hawaii. If the item you need is a matter of life and death(no pun intended), you will need 2 business day USPS Express Mail. Much more costly, but I can definitely ship most items Express Mail. Just message me for a Express Mail shipping quote. Can Priority Mail take longer than 3-4 Business Days to be delivered? Unfortunately, yes. First Class and Priority Mail delivery dates are not guaranteed, only estimated by USPS as stated in their “fine print” that most people like you and me don’t ever read. On rare occasions where USPS is having local or national logistical issues or is experiencing an unexpected high volume of packages then 5+ business day Priority Mail delivery can happen. As stated above, the holiday season is a notorious time where Priority Mail delays are very common because of the high volume of Xmas gifts. Keep this in mind. No amount of complaining or yelling at a USPS employee is going to speed up the Priority Mail delivery date. Trust me, I’ve done both. Haha!! The good news is USPS try’s at all cost to avoid Priority Mail shipping delays since it’s a premium paid shipping service. USPS knows if they were constantly missing Priority Mail estimated delivery times, no one would pay extra for this expedited mailing service. Again, this is why you should always choose the Priority Mail option if you need your item as soon as possible(ASAP). For just a little more than First Class mail, it’s your best shot/value besides the pricey USPS Express Mail service to get a package delivered quickly to you from Hawaii. I thought USPS Priority Mail was 1-3 business day delivery? Yes, you are correct if you are shipping from the Continental United States. Shipping out of Hawaii from my experience, is a little different. 1-2 business day delivery is only possible for buyers from Hawaii. 2 business day delivery to even somewhere close to Hawaii like California isn’t possible because of the added shipping day caused by having to fly all of our First Class/Priority Mail items by plane to the mainland first. This is why 3 to 4 business day delivery time on average from Hawaii is what you should expect if choosing the expedited Priority Mail shipping option from me. Just to reiterate, the only USPS mail service that has a guaranteed delivery time is Express Mail(roughly 3x’s the cost of Priority Mail), but the next closest mailing service that’s as close to a guarantee delivery date without being guaranteed is Priority Mail. Go to any USPS post office and they will tell you the same thing.If I upgrade to Priority Shipping can I get my item shipped out on the same day? Only if you order the item before 12 p.m. Hawaii time(M-F) and you “direct” message me right after you place the order so I know you upgraded to Priority Mail, then most times yes, I can ship it out the same business day. The only time I won’t be able to ship same day on upgraded Priority orders is if I had something planned previously. I will respond to your message if I can’t do same day shipping. This is why you might want to message me prior to placing your order if a day makes a big difference. Same day shipping saves you 1 business day so by all means try to meet the above criteria. Trust me, 1 business day makes a huge difference when using Priority Mail. One day could literally be the difference of you being extremely happy or sadly disappointed with USPS’s delivery time. Am I Covered If Something Goes Wrong? Why No Returns?I don’t offer refunds on the majority of my items now because of mainly 2 reasons. First, because of eBay’s revised return policy, I can no longer charge an “automatic” restocking fee for returns. As a result, I was previously losing roughly between $5 to $18+(my shipping cost to you) on every return. With profit margins being so tight, a return can make an item not profitable or not worth relisting again. Secondly, I’m tired of fighting fraudulent returns. Yeah, I win the majority of the fraud cases, but the 1% you lose literally makes you want to quit online reselling for good. It feels that bad. Just ask any online reseller. You can be 1000% right, yet still lose the return claim on a minor technicality. UGH!!! With all that said, what ultimately made me change my return policy was even though you “win” a fraudulent return case, you absolutely do not feel like a “winner” because of the time wasted proving the return was fraudulent as well as the emotional toll it takes on your mental health. I can honestly and sadly say, every dishonest return claim made me lose faith in humanity just a tiny bit. That’s no way to live. I finally realized after years of selling, it was not worth the headaches, losing sleep over or most importantly losing faith in humanity. LOL!! Being a low volume seller means I normally have only 1 or at most a handful of a particular item which makes selling an item(s) now with a no return policy very manageable since eBay easily has over a 100 million customers worldwide.Extra Things I Do To Offset A No Return PolicyI know a no return policy does affect my sales which is why I ALWAYS go above and beyond when describing and photographing my eBay items so there are absolutely no “surprises” when you receive an item from me. Some of the extra things I do are listed below:I ship out items no later then the next business day. Sometimes I ship Saturdays if I have free time.If asked and I have the time, I will ship out the item the same day if a customer needs the item ASAP say for a birthday gift, athletic event such as a football/soccer game or an upcoming trip. Not a problem if they message me early enough and I have no prior commitments for that day or even Saturday.I list overall measurements for pretty much all my clothing items. Listing measurements for a clothing item may seem trivial to you, but it literally doubles the time it takes me to list an item on eBay. Ask any eBay clothing seller, the extra time it takes to take out a yard stick/tape measure then write or input these measurements for a huge pile of eBay clothing items is time consuming & gets a little irritating to say the least. Haha! Trust me I’d love to just write in the description, “Brand new with tags. Size Large. Comes from a smoke free home. Ships fast!” LOL! I try to describe to the best of my ability if an item runs small or big and point out flaws no matter how tiny they are. Things that I point out regularly that most sellers don’t are store fastener tag/anti-theft tag pinholes, wrinkles/creases in jersey graphics, pepper sized scuffs on shoes and as stated previously if an item runs small or big.I respond to all buyers questions before and after the sale in a timely matter as long as our time zones mesh. I live in Hawaii so you could be writing me a message on the east coast in the morning there and I could be sleeping in my million dollar grass hut in Hawaii. Haha! I take lots of high quality HD photos of the item. I never use stock online photos just to save time. Lastly, if I do make a mistake whether it’s in the item description or the item sent, I always make it right with my buyers. I don’t like my time wasted and neither do my buyers. Following these business practices is the reason why I think I have outstanding eBay feedback, returning customers and thousands of dollars in sales every month year after year. Common Myths About A No Return PolicyThe reason I’m writing this long winded “No Returns” policy is to help alleviate the stigma associated with a no return item. Common myths of a no return item are there must be something wrong with that item, it’s something nobody wants or I’ll be stuck with something I never ordered. Nothing could be further from the truth. All a No Return Policy does is stop a return because of YOU- buyer’s remorse. Some classic examples of buyers remorse are “I don’t need it anymore, I should’ve bought a different brand, I ended up ordering a sweater when I should’ve bought a hoodie or I wish I got a different color.” It will never ever stop a return if I send you something you didn’t order or is not as described. For example, you order a sports jersey from me and I send you a shirt. You order a blue jacket and I send you a yellow one. You order a men’s pants and I send you a women’s pants. Or the listing shows and says item is red & I send you something that is green. You are covered and protected in all of these situations plus many more by eBay’s money back guarantee and will get 100% of your money back. Is There A Bright Side To My No Return Policy?Yes, there is. From what I hear, many of my clothing customers are now forced to measure their own personal clothing items and compare it with the Overall Measurements in the listing to see if my eBay item will fit them instead of “guessing and hoping it fits” like they were accustomed too for a returnable item. Like the majority of clothing online buyers around the world, many of my customers had absolutely no clue what their technical overall clothing measurements were because of free online returns. They really only knew the basics like “I wear a medium shirt and a 33″ waist pants.” I would say after measuring thousands of clothing items, a medium in one brand can be sized much smaller or bigger than a medium in another brand because of the design cut or the material itself. This is why any customer of mine who were reluctantly forced to finally figure out their technical clothing measurements because of my no buyer’s remorse refunds brings a smile to my face. I 100% know they will definitely save money and time in their future online clothing purchases because a lot of online businesses charge a 10 to 25 percent return restocking fee for sizing issues and let’s face it; it’s a hassle and a big waste of time to return something online.
