Our new range of lowering kits are the realisation of an extensive research and development programme that has drawn upon our vast knowledge and years of experience as well as the excellence of our engineering team. The new lowering kits are made from high quality materials and include features that make them the most versatile, easiest to install, safest and most advanced lowering kits of their type available today. Each component has been specifically designed by us to exact tolerances and produced by our ISO9001 accredited engineering and manufacturing teams to produce a feature rich, high quality, superbly engineered, durable lowering kit. HOW IT WORKS Cars that have Airmatic and ABC type suspension are fitted with ride height sensors that are mounted to the chassis and connected by linkages to the suspension wishbones and located, in most cases, behind each wheel at the rear of the wheel arch. The purpose of having these ride height sensors is to sense the level of the ground the car is traveling on to aid the automatically levelling of the car to provide superior ride quality. Our specially designed adjustable lowering linkages replace the standard linkages, and by either lengthening or shortening the adjustable linkages you can alter the information that is being sent by the ride height sensor to the car’s suspension computer. The altered information makes the computer think the car is sitting higher than it is and as a result the suspension computer lowers the car. This method of lowering cars is a tried and tested method and has been fitted to 1000’s of cars worldwide. The kits that we supply are simple to fit and require no special tools or mechanical experience as we supply comprehensive fitting instructions. As the lowering kits are fully adjustable it allows you to lower your car to exactly the height you want. BILLET ALUMINIUM ADJUSTERS We have created special adjusters that have been machined to accept specifically designed ball joints that have left hand and right-hand threads, which conveniently allows the length of the lowering linkage to be adjusted by simply turning it whilst fitted to the car, allowing the suspension height to be set to your exact preference. Turning the adjuster by a 1/8th of a turn will lower the car by 2mm, by turning the adjuster through 4 full turns the car will lower by as much as 70mm!! These very clever adjusters are precisely CNC machined from billet aluminium and include anti-slip knurling to allow better grip if your hands are wet or greasy, left hand thread indicator, 9mm spanner flats and are anodised red. The first device I found, was an electronic lowering module costing £1200 that involved splicing 16 cables into the main loom which was a great concern after spending nearly £40,000 on the car. The next idea that I uncovered is known as the ?washer method?. This idea means inserting some cheap metal washers above the locating bracket of the ride height linkage which simply wasn?t an acceptable method for a prestige car. After comprehensive research we designed a prototype lowering kit that fitted in place of the original ride height linkage that allowed the vehicles computer to lower the car. Once we had extensively tested our prototype lowering kit we employed the services of a local, well established engineering company and invested time and money into developing lowering kits for other cars that are equipped with air or hydraulic suspension. If any car is lowered the camber and alignment should be checked. The wheel camber will increase the further you lower your car as a result your tyres may wear on the insides slightly more without having the camber adjusted. Our personal cars have not had any camber alterations as we are happy to sacrifice a little tyre wear for the impressive sporty look you gain with negative camber. WHAT HEIGHT DO YOU NORMALLY DRIVE YOUR CAR AT? Low, Very Low. However if I am going on a longer journey I may raise the suspension for a smoother, softer drive but should I decide to have a play I simply select one of the sport modes for improved handling.
